DOES
GOD CHALLENGE YOU?
We, a
people living in the electronic age, can be bombarded by information
everywhere! From our phones, to
our tablets, to our computers, to our televisions, to the radios in our cars…
our minds fill up with everything you can imagine and whatever doesn’t have
room just overflows like a glass of water filled passed the brim.
My
hope is with the information I am about to share… is that you won’t easy
disregard and forget about it but meditate on it so when God wants you to experience
something you will be open to it.
I also hope you seek God about what is written- that he might settle the
questions that defy your understanding about God.
When
I was living as the world… God challenged my stubborn salad bars ideas about
HIM. God challenged what I
personally picked and chose him to be…
In other words God was a “god” of my own understanding and making and
though my “god” may have had some of the characteristics of the real God he wasn’t
God.
I
find God as a believer in Jesus Christ… we still can have our own perceptions
of how God is - for God does not just challenge the unbeliever but the believer
as well. He challenges even the well seasoned Christian.
Does
God challenge your traditional beliefs and customs in your Christianity?
Does God challenge your orthodox ways?
Does
God challenge even what you considered your "unorthodox" ways?
Have
you ever decided how God should come and act in your services or life?
Ask
the Lutheran, the Methodist, the Baptist, the non-denominational, the
Pentecostal and so forth… about ask them how God works
and they all will come up short. This isn't pulling down anyone... it's the truth. We all have our own perceptions and those perceptions are based our own ideals and what God has already shown us but God isn't limited to what he has shown us. There is much, much more... to how God works!
Evangelist
like John Bevere to Michael Livengood, will tell you “The moment you think you
know how God is going to work- you guessed wrong and you will see another way
how God can work.”
So don't act like you know it all. Don't act like you have seen and heard it all. Don't limit yourself but seek God... knowing nothing is impossible with Him.
So don't act like you know it all. Don't act like you have seen and heard it all. Don't limit yourself but seek God... knowing nothing is impossible with Him.
