The Testimony through the Holy Spirit

A lasting and powerful testimony is not done merely by one’s own self-esteem or personal will power, it is done by relying on a power outside of one’s self. A powerful testimony isn’t self-motivated or self-centered or done by human hands, methods or understandings but centered on a purpose driven and planned by God. Those people whose lives are self-motivated are never satisfied. They like coyotes that continue to search for something to satisfy and give them peace but everything, even religion, leaves them thirsty and hungry. But this is not all bad because their desire to find something lasting may lead them to find a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:38-39

“So my advice is, leave these men alone. If they are teaching and doing these thing on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.”

1 Thessalonians 1:5

“For when we brought you the good news, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know that the way we lived among you was further proof of the truth of our message.”
